Top Dawg Entertainment Announces Its Newest Artist
Rising artist Trap Dickey has officially signed with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), marking a major milestone in his growing music career. The announcement was confirmed on Tuesday, placing him among a respected roster that includes artists like SZA, ScHoolboy Q, and Doechii. The label is also widely known for its long-standing association with Kendrick Lamar, who built much of his career there.
Speaking on the new signing, TDE founder and CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith praised Trap Dickey’s authenticity and background. He highlighted that the artist brings a genuine story rooted in real-life experiences—something the label values highly when bringing new talent on board. According to Tiffith, the team is excited to support Trap Dickey as he takes the next step in his journey.
Trap Dickey himself expressed enthusiasm about joining the label, comparing the opportunity to being part of a championship-level team. He described the move as a major step forward and shared his excitement about what lies ahead, hinting at a strong future with TDE.
Originally from Hartsville, South Carolina, Trap Dickey began gaining wider attention in 2023 with the release of his breakout track “Blue Devils.” The song helped introduce his sound to a broader audience and later received additional exposure through a remix featuring DaBaby. Since then, he has continued to build momentum, collaborating with artists such as Boosie Badazz and BigXthaPlug.
His connection with TDE has been developing over time. He previously appeared at the 12th Annual TDE Christmas Concert and Toy Drive in Los Angeles, further strengthening ties with the label. In past interviews, including a conversation with Bootleg Kev, Trap Dickey had already hinted at the possibility of joining TDE, describing it as an ideal fit for his career.
Beyond traditional releases, Trap Dickey has also expanded his presence through digital platforms. He appeared on popular livestream events such as Kai Cenat’s “Mafiathon 3” and delivered a performance on the “On The Radar” freestyle series, both of which helped boost his visibility among younger audiences.
Following the official announcement, fans quickly reacted on social media, with many expressing excitement about the move. Supporters have praised his consistency and growth over the years, noting that the partnership with TDE could open new opportunities and elevate his career even further.
As he begins this new chapter, expectations are high for what Trap Dickey will accomplish under the TDE banner. With a strong foundation, growing fanbase, and support from one of the most respected labels in hip-hop, he is well-positioned to continue making an impact in the industry.
